I was just informed that Eckerman and Whitefish will be without power for 3-5 days. The school will be available (as soon as I get there) for warmth, charging, showers, etc.
I do not know the status of school on Monday but that decision will be made Sunday if warranted.
The town hall and emergency building is open also if you need an immediate place to go.

Tonight the Rockets host the Eagles from OCS. Tip off is 5:30 PM. Girls play first. Light concessions will be available, and the 50/50 will be a gift certificate from Tahquamenon General Store and some McDonald's combo meal coupons. Please come support our student athletes! Due to the weather and road conditions, Whitefish will be closed Thursday December 12.

Thursday is our first away basketball game at 5:30 P.M. A bus will be provided for transportation to Maplewood. When the game is over the bus will drop kids off at Eckerman clinic and at the school. If you want your child to ride with you after the game please let the coach know you are going to take your student.
Friday is our Christmas program at 6:00 PM. Students participating are expected to arrive at 5:45. The school will be closed until then to allow our staff to have their Christmas gathering. There is no basketball practice on Friday, December 13th.
Due to the icy side roads, we will be on a two hour delay. CTE and the hospital tour has been canceled.
Due to the rain in Newberry, the dance will be rescheduled. Safety is priority! Have a good rest of the weekend

There is a winter dance for 6th-12th grade students on December 7th from 7-11.
Our first home game of the season is on Friday. Girls start our night out with tip off at 4:45 with boys to follow. There will be a light concession available. If you would like to volunteer to help please let us know. Miss Mills will make a sign up sheet and have it available at the game on Friday.
Whitefish Township is closed due to the weather and road conditions. Please stay safe if you are out and about.
