Due to Mr. Gross being ill, the school board meeting is now May 4th at 5 PM.

Tonight's CO-ED volleyball game against OCS is cancelled. Mr. Gross will be rescheduling the game.

Athletics Update: The elementary basketball team will be riding the Newberry dismissal bus. They will leave the school, drop off students at the DNR stop and head to Grand Marais. They will stop at the DNR stop on the way back. The next stop will be at Eckerman and then at the school. Please coordinate with Coach Doke where you will be picking up your student athletes. This is their last game night of the season. Go Little Rockets!!! Track & Field will be busy this week. It’s April! That means we are back to school on Mondays now. Hopefully everyone had a wonderful spring break and feels recharged for finish of the school year. We will see everyone tomorrow morning. Don’t forget it’s the first elementary basketball game tomorrow at 5:30. No school for students April 7th as it is a professional development day. That means no CTE on Friday either.

Track practice is cancelled today Tuesday March 21st.

We just received word that Nick was selected as Student of the Quarter at Sault CTE!! We are extremely proud of you, Nick!!!

Whitefish Township Community Schools is super proud of our teams this season and the coaches of the Northern Lights League Conference have voted Senior Dominic Nalette to the "All Conference 2nd Team" and Senior Seth Mills was selected to the "All Conference Honorable Mention Team"!! Congratulations to all the recipients and Go Rockets!!

Congratulations to Mrs. Bourque on receiving EUPISD PAC Educator of the Year Award! We are very lucky to have you at our school. Thank you for all you do.

We just did a practice lockdown drill at our school. The staff and students did an excellent job making sure our school was safe.

MS/HS Track starts today. Practice for this month will be the 14th, 17th and the 21st. Practice will start after school and get out at 5:30 P.M. The kids will also be coming home with stuff they are to do over Spring Break. I will be adding practice dates and meets to our app and website later today.

Whitefish will be on a 2 hour delay for Tuesday February 28

Due to the pending storm forcasted for our area, Whitefish will be closed today Thursday February 23rd. CTE is closed, Newberry is closed and so is the ISD in Rudyard. Have a great day and see you all tomorrow!!

CHANGE to Northern Lights League Tournament Information. Friday Feb 24 The bus will depart the school at 10 AM. They will head to Hannahville to play the winner of #8 Beaver Island or #9 Grand Marais at4:00 PM. The winner will play at 8:30 PM against #4 Munising Baptist. The team, the coach and the bus driver will stay the night at the Island Resort. The winner of the 8:30 PM game will play #1 Maplewood Baptist at 11:30 am Saturday. The winner of that game will play in the Championship game at 4 PM. This is a lose and you are out tournament. The host AD is trying to set up all the games on NFHS Network. (It is a $10/month subscription). They will be staying the night regardless. Meals will be provided by the school. The boys are welcome to bring concession money. Best of luck to our Rockets!!!

If you have a 3rd-6th grader interested in Basketball this form is coming home with them today. Please have them turned into the office by March 3rd. If we don't get your child signed up in time we wont have time to order shirts.

Transportation Details for the Beaver Island Basketball game tomorrow 2/18. If you are riding the bus to the airport you need to be to the school by 6:30 AM. There will be a bus stop at the Eckerman Clinic @ 7:00 AM. If you are a Newberry resident or just plan on being dropped off at the airport you need to be to the airport at 7:45 AM. The basketball players should not be bringing blankets, backpacks, etc to the airport. For return from Beaver Island the flight should arrive Newberry Airport at 2:30. The bus will stop at Eckerman Clinic on the way home @ approximately 3:15 PM. Bus should arrive back to the school approximately 3:30.
