Location

Whitefish Township Community Schools is located in Paradise Michigan.  Paradise is situated on the Tahquamenon Heritage Scenic Byway, Michigan State Road M-123, nestled next to the National Hiawatha Forest and the Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Paradise is just north of the Tahquamenon River mouth and west of Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  This region is rich with the heritage of the Ojibwe and European Fur Traders.  For an in depth description of the region's history, Jan McAdams Huttenstine has compiled a history of the area in her book, Remotely Yours, A Historic Journey Into the Whitefish Point Area.  Established as a township in Chippewa County in 1890,  Whitefish Township is a sparsely populated region of the eastern upper peninsula.
